What is Q-Seal?
Q-Seal is a factory-applied sealer that permanently protects tile from water, stains and abrasion.  In addition, Q-Seal features Ultra-Fresh® anti-microbial protection.

How can Q-Seal be permanent when other sealers aren’t?
Unlike ordinary stone sealers which must be reapplied periodically over the life of the tile, Q-Seal is factory-applied and the tile never has to be resealed again.  The process involves a proprietary sealer and application system to ensure permanent coverage.

Does Q-Seal perform as well as off-the-shelf sealers?
Q-Seal performs as well or better than conventional sealers (even so called “maximum stain protection” sealers) in protecting the tile from water and stains.

Is Q-Seal breathable?
Yes.  Q-Seal allows the transmission of moisture vapor out of the tile.

How stain resistant is Q-Seal?
Q-Seal is highly stain resistant.  Food and beverages will not stain the tile if cleaned up in a reasonable amount of time after contact.  Some pigmented foods and beverages (like mustard and wine) left on the tile surface for more than two hours may cause permanent staining.

What should I use to clean the tile?
Unlike other stone tiles, ordinary household cleaners are recommended for clean-up.  Use a liquid, non-abrasive cleaner and a damp sponge.  For more stubborn surface stains, abrasive cleaners (like SoftScrub®) are effective, but rub gently with a damp sponge.  You may also use a specialty stain cleaner (like Oxiclean® Versatile) for more difficult jobs.  Never use abrasive cleaning implements (scouring pads, steel wool, etc.).

Will Q-Seal wear off from everyday foot traffic?
No.  Tumbled Marble that is protected by Q-Seal has a high level of abrasion resistance.  Testing resulted in the tile receiving a Class 4 rating – i.e. recommended for heavy foot traffic.

What is Ultra-Fresh® anti-microbial protection?
Ultra-Fresh is built right into the chemical composition of Q-Seal.  Ultra-Fresh is proven to inhibit the growth of stain and odor-causing mold and mildew.  Visit www.ultra-fresh.com.

Do I ever have to reseal my Q-Seal protected tile?
Q-Seal never has to be resealed and is guaranteed to remain water and stain resistant for as long as you own your home.

Will sealing my grout affect the tile?
No.  Follow sealer instructions and wipe excess sealer off the tile before it dries on the surface.
